Twirling - Giulia Sottoriva medaglia d'argento al campionato europeo

Giulia Sottoriva medaglia argento campionato europeoGiulia Sottoriva, frequentante la classe 4 D SIA nel corrente a.s. 2014-2015, si è guadagnata la medaglia d'argento al campionato europeo di Twirling che si è tenuto dal 09/07 al 13/07 a Wurzburg in Germania, quindi campionessa europea nella specialità tecnica "due bastoni".



Il twirling è una disciplina ginnico-sportiva e uno sport individuale, di coppia e di squadra, maschile e femminile, caratterizzato dall'uso di un attrezzo denominato bastone e da movimenti del corpo che seguono con armonia una base musicale.

Giulia Sottoriva ha partecipato alla selezione per la coppa europa ancora il 26 aprile, è stata selezionata ed una commissione tecnica ha deciso di farla gareggiare nella tecnica due bastoni, che prevede l'utilizzo contemporaneo di due bastoni, categoria senior (avendo 17 anni ) livello A.

Il campionato europeo si è tenuto a Wurzburg (Germania) dal 9 al 13 luglio 2014.
Giulia ha gareggiato giovedì 10 luglio al mattino per le selezioni della finale; con il punteggio ottenuto è passata in finale dove ha ottenuto il secondo posto, quindi medaglia d'argento.
